Scouting

The naturalists at Woodcock Nature Center can help your Boy and Girl Scouts earn badges and complete community service projects! Age-appropriate programs will be tailored to the needs, interests and activity level of your troop. Programs are offered Tuesday through Friday afternoons until 6 pm at the latest and Saturdays during the day (when there is not a birthday party scheduled)- please call (203) 762-7280 for more information.

BROWNIE TRY-ITS

We offer programs which complete ALL of the activities for the following:

We also offer programs which pertain to SOME but not all of the activities required to earn the following :

In some of these cases, your troop can complete all the activities required for a badge or Try-it through a program at the Woodcock Nature Center except for overnight campout activities.

Programs can also be tailored to the needs of individual troops.

Programs usually run for one hour, but depending on the badge activities, the program may require 1.5 hours. Prices: $8 per scout -with a minimum of ten scouts. Siblings count as participants. Feel free to come early or stay late for a snack – Reminder: we are a bring-in / bring-out facility, so please bring a trash bag.
