Wreath Festival - Family Day
Saturday, December 14, 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm
Enjoy festive wreath decorating with the whole family! You choose your 24” balsam wreath and we’ll provide some fun, kid-friendly decorating materials, music and a festive atmosphere. We'll also have a coffee truck onsite for all your beverage needs throughout the day. And, stay tuned for some additional outdoor activities and food to enjoy if the weather permits!
Tickets are $75. Ticket is for one wreath and up to 4 family members to attend

Winter Luminaria Walk
Friday, December 20 from 6 pm - 8 pm
Share the magic of a winter evening with your friends and family as you meander along our self-guided, illuminated trail during Woodcock's Luminaria Walk. Proceeds support Woodcock's community programs.
Tickets are $25 per adult, children free with paying adult.

Winter Birding and Pond Ecology @ Bennett’s Pond
Saturday, December 21 from 1 - 3 pm
Come for a walk at Bennett’s Pond State Park with Woodcock educator Tommy McCarthy and members of the Ridgefield Conservation Commission. As an avid birdwatcher, Bennett’s Pond is one of Tommy’s favorite places to walk and enjoy the beauty of nature. We’ll be heading down to the pond to learn more about how freshwater ecosystems function during the winter months, and seeing what winter wildlife we can find out on the water and along the trails!
This event is being run in partnership with the Ridgefield Conservation Commission.

Nature Crafting with Ms. Jen
Wednesdays 7 pm - 8:30 pm
In this new adult program, participants will learn about various nature related topics or themes and then create a beautiful craft to bring home!

Fireside Tales & Trails
Monday, January 27 from 10 am - 11 am
All ages are welcome to enjoy a winter nature walk with an educator on our trails, followed by a Storytime fireside with your little one in this free one-hour program! Spend some time outside exploring with us during this winter season then warm up by the fire with a story.

Hooty's Painting Party
Saturday, February 1 from 9 am - 12 pm
Paint your own owl portrait with Hooty herself! Join Woodcock Nature Center's, Sarah, Jen, and of course Hooty the Great Horned Owl for a very special paint and sip event. Guests will get a step by step lesson with Woodcock's Director of Education Sarah Breznen on how to paint an owl portrait, with a live owl present!
Spend a cozy winter morning by the fireplace in Woodcock's Pavilion creating your masterpiece with coffee, tea and mimosas provided, but feel free to BYOB.
All necessary art supplies will be provided. This event is for 21+ only please.
